Tequila Lime Marinade
Ingredients
- ½ cup tequila
- ¼ cup fresh lime juice (about 2 limes)
- 1 tablespoon lime zest
- ¼ cup olive oil
- 2 tablespoons chopped fresh cilantro
- 1 small jalapeño, minced (seeds removed for less heat)
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- ½ teaspoon ground cumin
- ½ teaspoon salt
- ¼ teaspoon black pepper
- 1 teaspoon sugar (optional, for balance)
Directions
- Mix all ingredients in a bowl or blender until smooth.
- Use immediately or store in a sealed container in the refrigerator for up to 5 days.
- Marinate chicken, steak, shrimp, or vegetables for at least 30 minutes (or up to 4 hours for poultry) before grilling or roasting.
