Hot Buttered Cheerios

INGREDIENTS

• Salted butter, sliced (½ cup)
• Cheerios cereal (4 cups)
• Granulated sugar (¼ cup)
• Ground cinnamon (1 tsp)
• Table salt (¼ tsp)
• Pure vanilla extract (¼ tsp)

INSTRUCTIONS

  1. Melt butter in a large skillet over medium heat; stir in vanilla.
  2. Add Cheerios, toss and toast 3–5 mins until golden.
  3. Mix sugar, cinnamon & salt in bowl, then sprinkle over cereal and toss to coat.
  4. Let cool completely before serving.
  5. Ask your self “why are they called Hot Buttered Cheerios?”
