Bowties & Beef Alfredo

Ingredients

  • 8 oz bowtie pasta
  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 2 cups heavy cream
  • 1 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • Fresh parsley, chopped (optional for garnish)

Directions

  1. Cook the bowtie pasta according to the package instructions, then drain and set aside.
  2. In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium heat. Add the ground beef and cook until browned, breaking it apart with a spatula. Season with salt, pepper, and Italian seasoning.
  3. Remove the beef from the skillet and set aside.
  4. In the same skillet, melt the butter over medium heat.
  5. Add the minced garlic and sauté for about 1 minute until fragrant.
  6. Pour in the heavy cream and bring to a gentle simmer.
  7. Stir in the Parmesan cheese until the sauce is smooth and creamy.
  8. Return the cooked beef to the skillet and mix well with the sauce.
  9. Add the cooked pasta to the skillet, tossing everything together until well combined.
  10. Serve hot, garnished with fresh parsley if desired.

Notes

  • For a vegetarian version, you can substitute the ground beef with mushrooms or zucchini or any chopped/slice veggies you like.
  • If you’re looking to add more flavor, try incorporating some sun-dried tomatoes or a pinch of red pepper flakes for a bit of heat.
  • For a low-carb option use low carb pasta.
  • Substitute the ground beef with ground chicken or turkey.
