Oatmeal Chocolate Chip Cookies

INGREDIENTS

  1. 1 cup All-Purpose Flour
  2. ½ tsp. Baking Soda
  3. ½ tsp. Salt
  4. ½ cup Softened Butter
  5. 1/3 cup Sugar
  6. 2/3 cup Brown Sugar
  7. 2 tsp. Vanilla Extract
  8. 1 Large Egg
  9. 1-1/2 cup Rolled Oats
  10. 1 cup Semi-Sweet Chocolate Chips

DIRECTIONS

  1. In a medium bowl, whisk together flour and baking soda and set aside.
  2. Using a mixer, combine the butter and both sugars and beat at medium speed until light and fluffy.
  3. Reduce speed and add salt, vanilla and egg and beat until well blended.
  4. Add flour and mix until almost combined.
  5. Stir in the oats and chocolate chips.
  6. Chill the dough in the refrigerator for 1 hour to overnight.
  7. Pre-heat oven to 350ºF
  8. Drop 2-teaspoon (35gr) sized ball of dough 2” apart on a cookie sheet lined with parchment paper.
  9. Bake until golden brown around the edges but still soft in center, about 8-10 minutes.
  10. Remove from oven and let cool for 2 minutes before moving to cooling rack.
